By Gokarna Dayal, Baitadi, May 15: More than 1,000 people who were quarantined in Baitadi have been sent back to their home after completion of quarantine period.
1,036 persons who had completed 14 days of quarantine stay after returning from India were sent home after conducting the Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT), informed Bhuwan Joshi, COVID-19 contact person of Baitadi Health Office.
They had entered Nepal from Jhulaghat and Darchula border point, informed Joshi.
They had also stayed in India-based quarantine before entering Nepal.
Now 248 people are staying in Baitadi’s quarantine.
Meanwhile, a 50-year old male of Dilasaini Gaupalika -1, who was staying in Saraswati Secondary School, Nanara’s quarantine have tested positive for the virus in RDT.
His swab sample has been sent to Dhangadhi for PCR test and he has been kept in isolation in Baitadi District Hospital.
