Emirates flyers can now choose their seats and explore cabins using VR

Emirates has launched a new feature that allows flyers to explore their cabin and select their seat using 3D virtual reality technology.

The Dubai-based airline claims to be the first to introduce VR technology and 3D seat and cabin models for aircraft interiors.
The feature allows users to navigate their cabins – economy, business and First Class – along with the onboard lounge and shower spa on the Emirates A380 and Boeing 777 using any VR headset, including the Google Cardboard.

The 3D-generated graphics are based on renderings.

Customers can also get previews of their seats and cabins online and on their mobile devices with the 3D seat map via emirates.com.
