Team Of 34 Doctors Sent To Sudur Paschim State

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 17: The government has sent a team of 34 doctors to Sudur Paschim state to stem the spread of COVID-19.

Dr. Bikash Devkota, in daily briefing about COVID-19 held today, said that 34 doctors were dispatched to Sudur Paschim state as the number of people entering Nepal from the Nepal-India border of the state was increasing.

“The doctors studying at Nepal Institute of Medical Science (NIMS) were sent to the hospital set up by the Chief Minister’s office of Sudur Paschim State,” informed Dr. Devkota.

He said that the doctors were sent for a month’s period and their stay could be lengthened depending upon the situation.

The team was flown to the destination in a chartered flight.
