By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 7: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the upcoming two weeks were more challenging for Nepal as it lied in high risk of the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
Stating that the upcoming two weeks were challenging to contain the virus in his address to the nation today, PM Oli urged Nepalis to quarantine themselves for next two weeks.
He stated that Nepal was in high risk to be affected by the virus.
The PM has requested Nepalis staying in and outside the country to stay safe amid the global crisis of COVID-19.
“Although the lives are getting difficult due to the lockdown, it is important to have patience and help the government in containing the virus by staying in,” he said.
Likewise, PM Oli said that the doctors and health workers striving on the front line to contain the virus were the soldiers of the war against an invisible enemy. “We all should support and the front line health workers,” he said.
Lockdown is the only way to spread the virus in today’s scenario where the entire globe is researching on vaccine to contain the virus, the PM added.
PM Oli has urged everyone to patiently support the government by following the lockdown.
“The effort put on by front line health workers despite limited resources and equipments is notable,” said the PM.
The PM also said that the importance of local level governments and local representatives was also reflected by the ongoing crisis.
Also, PM Oli expressed his worry over the difficulties faced by daily wage earners due to the lockdown.
He extended condolence over those who lost their lives worldwide, including Nepalis to COVID-19.
He has also wished for speedy recovery of those who have been battling with the virus.
